Hannah Smith
The sound of rain on the tin roof, the smell of wet dirt, and the distinct scent of wisteria, gardenia and honeysuckle that grew along the screen porch, bring back so many happy memories of growing up in Southern Pines, North Carolina. My parents were high school teachers and urban homesteaders before it was cool. Our entire front yard was a garden. There were solar panels on the roof, fruit trees and grape vines in the backyard, no TV, no A/C, and a wood stove for heat. My sisters and I spent our childhood riding bikes, playing at the park, living a simple life, rich in meaning and experience. My dad, a Vietnam vet, was active in the Army Reserve and National Guard. My parents instilled in me the value of hard work, honor, integrity, and a deep love for God, country, and others. A sense of "home and belonging" was born in me.
My interest in real estate began 25 years ago, when my husband and I started our building company. The creative aspect of home design and remodeling further sparked my interest in the real estate market. We invested, renovated, rented, and sold several properties. My favorite was a Moore County home built in 1910, with wide porches and French doors opening to moss-covered grounds. Making a house a home brings a sense of pride, fulfillment, and connection. Homes build communities
As our family grew, my top priority was raising our five children, 2 girls and 3 boys. Real estate took a back seat as I accumulated 14 years of homeschooling, becoming the teacher, chauffeur, activity director, hockey mom, and payroll/billing manager for our business. These days were long, but the years were short.
Gardening, landscape design, thrifting, cycling, and running are a few of my favorite pastimes. I fell in love with running in my 20s and have competed in races ranging from 5k to 50k. My love for competition led me to pursue a career as a personal trainer. Since 2016, I have worked as a group fitness instructor and certified personal trainer at local gyms and boutique studios. Helping clients reach their health and fitness goals has been my top priority.
Today my kids are grown and I am excited for this next chapter of my life. Honesty, integrity, and hard work are the qualities I bring to my real estate career. I am committed to providing you the same diligent care and expertise I brought to my training clients, as we develop a strategy to best meet your real estate needs. Whether buying, selling, or investing, I hope to build long-term relationships as you move throughout our beautiful community and beyond. Because finding your "home" is WINNING!
Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to meeting and serving you. - Hannah
